🍅 Pomodoro Timer — Free, Online & Offline
A free Pomodoro timer that runs entirely in your browser — no login, no installation, and fully usable offline. Set your focus and break durations, then let it keep you on track. Looking for a free Pomofocus alternative? Toolio’s version is completely free and needs no sign-up.
Private by design. This tool runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is uploaded or stored, and it works offline.
About
This Pomodoro timer lets you customize focus sessions (default 25 min), short breaks (5 min), long breaks (15 min), and how many sessions trigger a long break. A soft beep signals each phase transition and the tab title counts down live so you can keep it in the background. All settings are saved locally in your browser — nothing is ever sent to a server, making it safe for sensitive work environments.
How to use
- Click Start to begin your first 25-minute focus session.
- Work until the timer ends and you hear the beep, then take a short break.
- After every 4 focus sessions, enjoy a longer break automatically.
- Adjust focus, short break, long break, and cycle length in the Settings panel anytime — or tap the 15, 25, 50 or 90 minute preset.
- Use Skip to jump to the next phase, or Reset to restart the current timer from scratch.
FAQ
- Is this Pomodoro timer free?
- Yes, completely free with no account required. Just open the page and start working.
- Does it upload my data or track my sessions?
- No. Everything — your settings and completed session count — is stored only in your browser's localStorage. Nothing is sent to any server.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes. Once the page is loaded, the timer works entirely offline — no internet connection needed.
- Can I change the focus and break durations?
- Yes. The Settings panel lets you set focus length (1–120 min), short break, long break, and how many pomodoros trigger a long break. Settings are saved automatically.
- Will I get an alert when a session ends?
- Yes. A short beep plays when each phase ends. The browser tab title also shows the live countdown so you can monitor it while working in other tabs.
- Can I use 50- or 90-minute focus sessions instead of 25?
- Yes. The timer starts at the classic 25 minutes, and one-tap presets for 15, 25, 50 and 90 minutes sit right next to the focus field. Every value stays editable as well: focus from 1 to 120 minutes, short breaks from 1 to 60, long breaks from 1 to 120, and the number of sessions before a long break from 1 to 20. Whatever you pick is saved in your browser, so the timer opens at your own length next time.
- Does the background music send data to YouTube?
- The optional player is embedded through youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain, which does not set tracking cookies unless you actually start playback. The timer itself is entirely local and keeps running whether the player is used or not.
